The UK produces more than 434 million tonnes of rubbish every year. This rate of rubbish generation would fill the Albert Hall in London in less than 2 hours. Most of our rubbish ends up in landfill sites, or is burned in incinerators. This is a terrible waste of resources, yet most of the things we throw away could be valuable to someone, somewhere.

This website helps people all over Coventry and Warwickshire to find a new use for our unwanted items. Re-using unwanted things is even better for the environment than recycling them as we don’t need to use energy, water and other resources on reprocessing them.

A team of dedicated volunteers moderate Community Freebay and we are currently looking for people to join this team to help facilitate the website. The Recycle Warehouse is owned and run by Action 21. It accepts and sells donated goods to the public in order to save items from landfill and to raise money for local sustainability projects. The Warehouse is found at the Prince's Drive Recycling Centre in Leamington and is open everyday, 10am - 4pm. Pop down and find yourself a bargain or donate something.
